Hi guys, how can I follow on my dashboard all the tickets assigned to all of my team members?

Ramiro Álvarez Caffaro July 20, 2022

All the members of the design team have different assignments, I would like to see all of their tickets at once, so I can track their work and their progress.

Thank you.

Hi @Ramiro Álvarez Caffaro , welcome to the community.

The question is how do you define your team? You could create a group and add all of the users to that group. Then you could create JQL queries and save those filters leveraging that group. This would allow you to reference those filters in your dashboard.

for example...

if I wanted to see all open issues associated with my team I might create a filter like below where "my team" is the group name.

Resolution = Unresolved and assignee in membersOf("my team")

Nice, Jack! Thank you very much.

Yes… I mean, what I want is to follow or track tasks and tickets assigned to all the people of my team in one place.

I'm trying to follow your instructions, but I think is still too advanced for me. I created the group but I still don't know how to the other tasks.

Hi @Ramiro Álvarez Caffaro ,

create a filter

  1. click into the search bar at the top
  2. click on Advanced issue search
  3. if "Basic" search is shown the click on Advanced
  4. enter the JQL filter something like "assignee in membersof("your group") and resolution = unresolved". This will resolve to all issues assigned to any member of your group that has not yet been resolved.
  5. click Save and name your filter

associate your filter to various Dashboard gadgets

  1. create your dashboard under the Dashboards screen
  2. add various desired gadgets to your dashboard
  3. click on the configure for each dashboard
  4. enter your filter name and save the gadget

the above should get you started. Note, you don't have to actually create a group. You could enter the names directly in the filter as illustrated below.

assignee in (Fred, Sally, Jack, Savin, Ramiro)

Thank you very much, my friend. But It says that the group, doesn't exist. Captura de Pantalla 2022-07-25 a la(s) 16.41.21.png

Hi @Ramiro Álvarez Caffaro how are you? Welcome to the Atlassian Community 👋🏻

If you're open to using an add-on, I would like to share a free and simple solution that may be useful in your need / scenario 👉🏻 MindPro Insights - Dynamic Reports for Jira

Assignees - Progress.png

With this solution, you can quickly filter your project issue types (e.g., tasks), and assignees, filter the desired dates and present the information in interactive dashboards.

Additionally, besides the charts, you can see in the same context and screen the full list of issues related to the metrics.

If you want to see how it works, take a look at this quick tour. I hope it can help.

Best, Eduardo Oliveira | MindPro Team
