Hi Aurelie

Created date and Resolution date are automatically populated and as a general rule cannot be modified.

There is a workaround, which is use the CSV import feature to update current values, for this you need to have Jira Admin rights to start.

  • Step 1 - Click on the 'settings' cog on the bottom left of the screen.
  • Step 2 - Click on System
  • Step 3 - Click on External System Import under the "Import and Export" category

Happy importing!

You need to create a CSV file and import it back with the corresponding dates. This works for the resolution date, not sure about the creation date.

For example:
key, summary, resolution date, created date
ABC-1, Title, 2020-02-01, 2020-01-01

If you have a lot of tickets and want to use a resolution date derived from status changes, then you can try our free addon (Quantify) that has a special tool for this -- resolution checker. Because we deal with things like time in status, throughput and other Kanban metrics we have the data to fix this.
