My current team members are receiving email notifications of any update or issue, so it is difficult for me to check all the notifications form notification alert icon

Can you please check your personal settings?
or Did you checked the notification setting, check weather you are in particular group or role for which you want notification ??
Or might be a case where your email id is blacklisted by Atlassian to open up you need to open ticket with Atlassian Support.
