Hide Time Tracking from certain group in Jira Cloud

Steffen Döll March 9, 2022

Hi all, the current results only find discussions/updates from 2018 - 2020 hence the new question:

In the Jira Cloud instance, is there a possibility to hide the following fields / reports specifically for a user group?
- Reports
- JQL query "logged work
- Original estimate / Remaining estimate (lower priority) in ticket view
- logged work general

On the server, there is a way to block this quite successfully for the typical end user through Modification (or the "Hide Time Tracking" plugin on the browser client side). However, this addon is not functional on the cloud to this deep extent (according to the description from the vendor as well as reviews) due to the Jira API limitation. Is there another workaround here? Or a feature request that makes this possibility appear on the cloud in a timely manner?

Thank you very much in advance

Maybe you can get a result close to this using the "Issue Security" feature in your project.

In it you can apply security levels where you can restrict the viewing of issues by certain people, groups, project roles, etc.

Therefore, you should be able to limit the view in the issue and consequently what else it contains and where it is (a report or dashboard).

See more details in the link: https://support.atlassian.com/jira-cloud-administration/docs/configure-issue-security-schemes/

I hope this help.
