Hello,
We have different screens for each issue type. eg. Different screens for Epic, Story, Bug, Task etc.
For different operations on issue type we use the same screen.
eg. Create epic, View Epic and Edit epic uses the same screen.
Requirement:
Hide and show standard and custom field depending upon the operation on that issue.
eg. Create issue don't how fields like ' Actual Effort '
However, show 'Actual Effort' in View and Edit epic operations.
Questions:
Do we need to create different screen for Create, View and Edit ?
Or we can hide the fields.
If we can hide the fields then how can one do that?
Thanks for your help.
Hi Vaishail,
Do we need to create different screen for Create, View and Edit ? - Yes, you need to Create two different Screen for Create and Edit. All fields should be available on View screen ( i.e fields from create and Edit screen)
For Hiding field and to make field mandatory or optional you need to do changes to Field Configuration but this change will be for entire project.
Apart from Create and Edit Screen if your requirement is to make certain fields to be available on Particular workflow transition then you can do this through Workflow.

For example if you want certain field to be visible when User click on In Progress then to achieve this follow below steps - Create new Screen something like "Start Progress Screen" add required fields on this screen. - Edit Workflow and go to Workflow transition click on "In Progress" and click edit In *Transition view* select screen which you have created earlier. - Publish workflow then you are done. Now once user click on In Progress they will see pop up screen with these fields. Taha
