Problem:
I need a project where I can manage a "kanban style" in the backlog. Basically, I want to have more statuses in the backlog. I'm only able to see Backlog and In progress if I use a KANBAN board, and it's impossible to remove the epic panel if I use a Scrum board. I need to see the epics in the backlog view.
We're upgrading to version v7.11.2 of Jira server, but it looks like it's not possible to solve in the new version either, or am I missing some configuration options?
It looks like it's supported (see the "selected for development")?
In Jira cloud, it looks like it works just fine if I select to create a scrum project (non traditional). I created several sprints to manage the status/progress in the process:
You should be able to add several statuses in the backlog as shown in the following screenshot:
Thank you for the reply.
I only get the Backlog and In progress status in the backlog. It seems to be impossible to add more than those two.

Hi @joesoes,
Can you clarify the Jira version you are using? I have tested this in Jira 7.8 and it works fine without issues:
As you can see in my case, I have added all 4 statuses to the backlog.

Jira server v7.11.2. I'm not sure if you uploaded the correct picture. I can only see two statuses in your Kanban backlog and board configuration.

Thanks @joesoes. I have updated the screenshot.
I have also tested this on v7.11.2 and am able to configure this as shown below:
Is it possible that you may a screenshot of what you are currently seeing so that we may have a better idea? You may blur out any sensitive data that may be present.
In addition to this, can you please run the following query on the Jira database:
SELECT * FROM pluginstate where pluginenabled='false';
If you do see any results, this may be that certain modules are disabled in Jira. We are specifically looking for modules with Atlassian or greenhopper.

Thanks. But I don't think that you will get four statuses in the backlog view. Only "Backlog" and "In progress".
