Is there a way to to prevent the system from displaying users real name in comments, worklogs or activity streams?
currently in all comments, worklogs and in the activity stream it displays the users real name. I would like it to display the username field but not the users real name.
We would like to have anonimity between certian groups on the system.
Not without hacking potentially quite a lot of code in the core of Jira. The human name of a user is extremely useful and removing it would be immensely counter-inuitive.
If it's really important, then get your users to use anonymised names (there's no harm in them just setting their display name to the same as their login)
I have a similar requirement for Confluence. I have a client requirement that user names be hidden or obfuscated in comments, etc on Confluence pages. Might a plugin solution be feasable for Confluence?
