Hiding the 'Status' field

Hi Support, how do i hide the 'Status' field? i could not find it anywhere in the 'Field Configuration'.

you want to hide it from the Issue View screen? It's not a good idea, how else will you know what state it's in. It a core field so will always be on the screen (short of a JS hack)
