Hello,

New to Jira and I'm trying to set up a common automation I have used in Microsoft's Power Automate for awhile now.

I work a lot of tickets in Jira for individual users in my organization.  When I mark a ticket or Issue as done, I want Jira to send a message to the requestor or reporter in Teams.

I have Jira successfully sending messages to a Channel, but can't figure out how to send it to a specific person instead.

I would appreciate any help, thank you!

Hi @Ross Mulligan

Welcome to the community!

You can use the "Post to a chat when a webhook request is received" Workflow to trigger a message to the chat in the same way you did for a channel.

Hi Bhanu.  Thanks so much for the reply, and I apologize for the delay.  This is what I'm seeing when I build that flow in Power Automate:

While I can pick a chat, it's only a group chat.  Also, this flow needs to change the chat message it posts to based on the reporter on the Jira ticket.  For example, if I mark a Jira Issue as done for Bob (reporter), it should message him.  If I do the same for Jill, it should message Jill, etc.

Thank you!
