How can I access user API token?

Deleted user October 1, 2021

Currently, I'm using username/password in API for some of my automation. I want to use API token instead for authentication. I couldn't find API token for my user. I couldn't find any information online on that. Can you please help me with some documentation or let me know how can I find API token for my accont?

API tokens are available since Jira 8.14.0 on server and data center versions. Here is the feature request: JRASERVER-67869

And more information on Using Personal Access Tokens.

Your Jira instance will have to be upgraded before you can use them.

Charlie,

Someone with a version prior to 8.14.0 with SSO enabled, how do they use API to authenticate to jira?
