How can I add a remote link not a jiraissue but a weblink?

I could not add a remote link using 'Edit Issue', 'Link Issue'

Hi,

Unfortunately, this is not something you can do currently with Automation for Jira. We have an open issue for it in our backlog (AUT-176).

I will update this issue when we ship the feature.

Hi @ryan,

If you are using cloud version of JIRA then please follow the below steps to web links to JIRA issue.

• The right side of the issue you will be able to see the three dots button. Click on that in that you need to click on link section. Please see the below screenshot for reference.

• If you are using the Server version of the JIRA then on the view issues screen click on the *more* button. Then click on Link option. Please see the below screenshot for reference.

• Link issue screen will appear in that click on *Web Link* provide the URL and Link text and then click on the link button. As shown in the below screenshot.

• The Remote URL will be linked to the issue. The link text will appear on the Issue. As shown in the screenshot.

Hi, you can add this using issue context menu (More -> Link).

There will be avaliable "Web Link" tab.


Link field in add/edit form could be used to add/edit linked issue only.
Thats wy this field is called "Linked Issues" ;)
