How can I add the Jira search button (macro) to a template?

I have made a template, where I would like the user to link a Jira ticket in.
To make it easier for the user I remember that I could add a button that would open the Jira search/filter pop-up.

But now I can no longer select this macro that makes it into a button. I can only embed the ticket number, but that is not what I would like to implement in a template.

Where did the option of this Jira search/filter button go? I know it was available in an older version of Confluence.

Hi @Jacoline van der Sanden and welcome to Community!

I'm afraid this feature is not available with the new Confluence editor. I found a similar feature request here: Instructional Text placeholder type from text does not display the user mention option anymore.

A workaround would be to insert the Jira macro in the template with placeholder text reminding users to select the right Jira issue.

Yes, I already did that.
Such a shame it no longer works with the new editor. It seems that the new editor removed more functionalities that were very nice.

It's always dangerous to remove functionality ;)
