I am working on developing my team's skills in Jira as their project manager. I would like to assign members courses to complete. Is there a way to do this through Atlassian Learning or do I need to add the link to a work item? I'd like to be able to confirm the courses are actually completed.

Thank you for responding. Assigning training as a task isn’t ideal, but I agree it’s a good work around. From experience with other project management software, I see great benefits for a team having the option to choose self-service or assigning training. I’d like to see this as a feature added in the future.
