Hi All,

I have built a report using the free app called - Reports - Charts and Graphs for Jira Dashboard Free by Bloompeek.

Everything looks good except - this report shows my Epic as a Issue (technically it's correct) but I want to report Epics and User stories separately. For example - Epic containing how many user stories/tasks/bugs along with their status.

Please see this attached image:

Report1.JPG

I have:

Issues - 20

Epic - 6 (2 are not visible, since they don't have any user stories)

Bug - 1

I do not want this number 6 to be shown on this report. 6 is the sum of total epics in my current project. How can I remove/hide this metric from the report.

This do not add any value to the report nor it is giving any insight. How can I modify the existing report to be more meaningful and interactive.

Also, let me know if there is any other existing OOB app/widget which I can use for reporting this information.

HI @Karun S

Given the specific tool you're using (Reports - Charts and Graphs for Jira Dashboard Free by Bloompeek), I don't have direct visibility into its interface and settings. However, I can provide you with general guidance on how you might approach this situation.

Here are some general steps you might consider:

Filtering:

Check if the tool allows you to apply filters to your report. You might be able to filter out Epics from your report by specifying conditions that exclude them.
Custom Queries:

If the tool supports custom queries, you can create queries that specifically target the issues you want to include in your report. For example, you might use a query that includes only User Stories, Tasks, and Bugs, excluding Epics.
Grouping or Sorting:

Explore options for grouping or sorting issues within the report. You might be able to group them by issue type, allowing you to visually separate Epics from other issue types.
Customization Options:

Look for customization options in the tool settings. There may be options to configure which fields are displayed in the report, and you might be able to exclude the metric you don't want to show.
Check for Updates or Alternatives:

Check if there are updates available for the tool. Sometimes, newer versions may include features that address specific user needs.
Explore other reporting apps or widgets available on the Atlassian Marketplace. Apps like "eazyBI Reports and Charts for Jira" or "Jira Misc Custom Fields" provide advanced reporting features.
Contact Support:

If you're unable to find a solution through the documentation or settings, consider reaching out to the support team of the Reports - Charts and Graphs app. They may be able to provide guidance or consider your feedback for future updates.
Jira Native Reporting:

Explore native reporting features within Jira. Jira provides various out-of-the-box reports, and you might find a more suitable report or gadget for your specific needs.

THANK YOU,
