Currently I receive an email for every little thing changed in my tickets (label automatic change, going from Support to Customer, end date change, etc.).
This is pretty overhelming since my email is filled with notifications that are not really useful.
Is there a configuration that allows users to ONLY receive notifications for certain type of modifications? Say new comments in tickets, tags, assignments?
Thanks!
the notification scheme is set by the JIRA admin. The only thing you can do is change your profile so you don't receive updates you make. I suggest discussing with your teammates and administrator to decide what updates you all really want to receive. I think the defaults are overwhelming and usually eliminate most of the notifications. The admin can also create custom events, like 'Passed Testing' to fire when a fix passes testing and only notify a couple roles when it fires. In my experience most 'reporters' only want to know when an issue is closed.
Romanella - Joe is spot on with his answer here. The types of notifications you wish to get rid of for tickets where you are the Reporter can really only be changed by the notification scheme.
