We have our Jira subscription connected to our Slack so we can get updates in certain channels about specific issues. Those channel mappings are set up and working fine. However, for some reason, I have a Jira "App User" in my direct messages that notifies me (and only me) about all Jira activity. These messages come through as a direct message and I can't seem to stop them or mute them. If I try clicking the X next to the Jira App User it goes away until the next message comes through, then it comes back.
How can I delete/disable the app user while keeping the integration running and having notifications in some channels?
It wasn't bitband, it was the "Jira Cloud" Slack integration. However, I just found out what the issue was! I'm not sure how it ever got added in there, but there was a row in a few of my "project settings" Slack Integration settings to send a direct message to me, in addition to the groups.
So, for anyone else having this problem, figure out which JIRA projects are getting sent to your user, then go that project, then Settings > Slack Integration and delete the item that sends direct messages.
Is it the bitband slack integration? Have you checked this portion of the documentation on notifications to individuals?
