Currently using Jira v9.12.5, and cannot modify, update nor add any components to the current configuration.
The are several Jira's that contain information that I'd like to capture. Toward that, for one of the Jiras, I exported in XML format, with the hope of being able to take that output, build a node script to enter it into a database.
The reason for pulling this data is that our installation's agreement was not renewed (this is hearsay, and nothing has been denied nor confirmed). Before all this is lost, I'd like to capture as much as possible.
The exported XML looks like it's captured everything on the Jira page, to include html/css type information. Preferably, only extracting the user entered data would be ideal.
Is there a way to do this, or, should I wade through the XML?
Thanks in advance!!
UPDATE: During my continued search, found this (https://community.atlassian.com/t5/Jira-questions/Exporting-only-specific-fields-which-are-needed/qaq-p/1756433), but to no avail. The drop down shown from the Export icon is not the same as the configuration shown in the link. Don't k now why.
If you only need this as a "backup" of the information, why don't you just export the data to CSV or to a more human-readable format using a third party app?
I have no access to any 3rd party apps that can assist, and have to do it "brute force"-ish method.

Sure! Each Jira shows the user input data. So dates (created, updated, start, end), Type, Resolution, Priority, Epic, Sprint, associated with, comments, Jira ID, Labels, Description - essentially all data that a user would input.
