How can I find updates to a user defined field?

We have a user defined field (Technical Domain) and I am trying to find a way to monitor if the issues are created with a wrong value and updated later. I wish it was possible to create a filter like 

status = resolved and "Technical Domain" changed

But this is not possible and I haven't been able to find an alternative. Please advise

You may be able to do this with an add-on.  Take a look at the Communities post Solved: How do I check if a specific field's value has changed with Automation for JIRA? where one of the Codebarrel Community Champs provided a means that may work using their add-on.
