How can I fix the wrong sprint name in my project?

Hi,

I have 2 projects - XTWIN and XDVCS and I have been using these projects since 6 months or more.

In the latest new sprint however, I am facing an issue with the naming. When I click on create sprint in the XDVCS project, it is creating the sprint but with the name XTWIN which is the wrong project (as seen in below image). This is causing duplicate sprint names. jira sprint.PNG

I tried editing the name but it is changing in both projects. I am not sure how to fix this. Has anyone else faced this?

Thanks.

@Amulya Sankara This is the case of Shared sprints, When the same board filter is used in different boards then creating/updating a sprint will apply to all the shared boards.

To avoid this please ensure your both projects has distinct filter (they should not be use the same board filter).

Yes I checked the board filter, no issue here.

Hey @Amulya Sankara

In addition to Yogesh's response, you can find more information on Shared sprints here: https://community.atlassian.com/forums/Jira-articles/Knowing-when-you-have-a-Shared-Sprint/ba-p/944613

Thanks!

Hi, thanks for this. I edited the name and it somehow worked this time. Not sure what changed, but the issue is resolved and not continuing. Thanks for the link though, I will save it for another time!
