So i have tried using the pivot tables but they simply count the each row item as “1“, because each section of the columns is returning Jira issues count. Which is not a numerical value so its not adding the number of issues it displays within it.

Did you try to set "Operation type" to "Sum" and "Calculated column" to the column with Jira Issues count?
