How can I limit the projects that users can view in JIRA Server 6.0.2?

We have different types of users. Some of them are external. We need that users can see just the projects where they have to work.

Please, I need help.

Go to project permission schemes and enable "browse project" permission only for those users/groups/project roles who must work on project with this permission scheme.

I prefer to use project roles, as it is most flexible and easy to maintain way.
