How can I link to a windows explorer location using custom fields on JIRA Cloud?

Hi

We use a custom free test field to put windows explorer locations on our issues but it would save a lot of time if those file paths could be hyperlinks to the windows explorer location directly.

Is this possible?

Hi Lauren!

Modern browsers don't allow to access local file system. But you can Add some extensions to your browser, e.g. for Chrome https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/local-explorer-file-manag/eokekhgpaakbkfkmjjcbffibkencdfkl and then you can use links like file:///path-to-file.
