How can I restrict lables to differnt team under same project ?

Prasanna4u February 6, 2020

Hi ,

I have created a project where we have two different tech teams . Team A & Team B . I have created 2 components as Team A & Team B . By default for each team we are seeing multiple lables & they are common for both teams. I want to create 5 labels for each team & only persons for a group of team A should see Team A lables & persons from team B groups should see their lable . Is it possible ?

Hi @Prasanna4u

I don't think what you're asking for is possible. There are no component or label-based permissions. Components are managed at a project level, so you would be able to restrict a list of components to individual projects (so the teams would have their own project for a separate list of components, then issues could be viewed on a shared board which both teams have access to if you wanted some cross-communications).

Labels are just added to issues as and when, there's no set list of labels to manage, and different projects can add the same labels as other projects, i.e. they are independent of which project you are in.
