Hi all,

Ok, so I have downloaded and installed Jira on my windows server, running windows server 2019. I have chosen to not download as a service. I want to make it run on server startup without user logon required. I have managed to successfully do this with Bitbucket Server by placing the start batch file into the task scheduler as a new task.  I have attempted to do the same with Jira however it just does not run. Furthermore there are more than 1 batch file in Jira that starts it.

Would appreciate any help on this matter,

thanks :)

Hi Jay,

welcome to the Atlassian Community.

Basically there are two options - to start from the batch file or run as a Windows service.

Maybe this information already helps:
https://confluence.atlassian.com/adminjiraserver/start-and-stop-jira-applications-938847802.html

In case it doesn't please make sure to be as precise as possible on where the start of the application is stuck. Community members are then more likely able to catch up.

Cheers,
Daniel
