How can I search and organize my GreenHopper backlog in the absence of a component filter?

I have many components for my project so adding a quick filter to my GreenHopper Rapid board is not realistic for me. Would you consider adding a built-in feature to filter by component on the Rapid Board pages, at least the planning one. Or, maybe the search box can be extended to support JQL, that way we can put in anything? Or maybe just component: xyz.

BTW, I just was on your actual greenhopper project rapid board and noticed the new Epic panel. A similar Component Panel would be perfect. Is this in the plans? I hope so.

Sorry for the delay, I've opened a feature request for your idea to create a Component Panel (like the Epic Panel) in Sprint Planning. You can track the progress of that feature here: https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/GHS-8316
