Hi,

(I use a company managed software Jira Project)

I've created Goals in Jira Home.

I can link them to issues in their detail area:

Goals_issue.png

But when I add the field to my backlog in my board settings:

Goals_board settings.png

It gives "None" as a value in my backlog

I expected it to show "Revenue Increase"...

Does anyone know how I can see the linked goal in my backlog? I want it there to prioritize more easely.

Thanks for the help!

Hi @Marika Beyne

Welcome to the community,Goals are typically linked via the "Goal" field in Advanced Roadmaps (Plans) — not visible in the backlog by default,Only works if you’ve linked Goals to issues using Advanced Roadmaps, can you confirm whether you are using Advanced Roadmaps or Timeline.

Hope this helps

Hi Pasam

I did not use advanced roadmaps. Is it just the timeline tool? I do not seem to find it, even with Googles help :(

I used Atlassian Home. - Goals

Here it worked perfectly to create Goals and add them to issues from within JIRA itself (issue view), as you can see in the post above.

It's only when I add the same field "Goals", that I added to my issue view, to my backlog view that it says "None" instead of the value of the goal.

Thanks for taking the time to help me out!

@Marika Beyne in Advanced Roadmap plan you can see the correct data,I have tried and I came to know that “Goal” field is not supported in backlog/card layout view
Jira backlog UI doesn’t  fully support some special fields “Goal” is one of those fields that only shows up properly in Plans or issue detail view, but not backlog cards.
