How can I use JIRA Advanced Roadmaps to track progress of an Epic/initiative?

Tanvi Jain December 14, 2023

I want to use Advance Roadmaps to know if any feature or  epic is on track/off track/at risk?

In the Atlassian video "How Atlassian Uses Advanced Roadmaps" - I saw a field "How are we tracking?". This is exactly what I'm looking for. How can I start using this functionality?

Hi @Tanvi Jain ,

  1. Create a custom field of type Select List (single choice)
  2. Add options like
    1. On Track
    2. Off Track
    3. At Risk
  3. Add the new field to the custom field option in the Plans settings > Source Data.

Once this is done you can add the field using dropdown in the Roadmap and in the view settings you can sort them by the Color by option .

Mayuresh

You will need to set it manually

Thanks @Mayuresh Kamble ! Is there a way to configure working days in JIRA Advanceds Roadmaps? I know it can be done on boards, but not sure about Timeline view.

That option is not currently available.
