How can switch from Simplified workflow to Jira workflow?

I want to add additional status like "Under Review" , in order to have this additional column in sprint dashboard.

Unable to do same using "Simplified Workflow".

If its possible in "Simplified Workflow", can you please share steps.

And how do we shift from Simplified Workflow to Jira Workflow for a given project? , I didn't see any straightforward option.

It is best to copy the Simplified workflow,  then make the changes in the new workflow while it is is still Inactive. 

Then you will need to create a new Workflow Scheme for the new workflow and attach them.

Finally, go into the project > settings, click on Workflow Scheme and switch the current simplified workflow scheme for the new workflow scheme you created.

You can copy the Simplified workflow and add the required status and transition to it.

Open the target project and workflow scheme > Click the Add workflow button and select the newly copied workflow and associate it with the issue type.
