How can we apply DC license on existing server License

Hello There,

We have currently Jira software unlimited user license(and the current user count is approx 40000) and we want to Migrate to DC but the license tier we are looking in DC is 1000 user count only in DC.

is there any Impact on the application(Performance issue)  if we apply that 1000 user count DC license on the exiting Jira server unlimited license? Can you please suggest on this what are steps to overcome this.

Hi Ramankrishna-

You need to ensure the number of users who have the “can use” permission via the group they are in (go to Global Permissions” to view the groups with “can use” permissions) is less than or equal to the number of users you are licensed for. You cannot apply the license to only some of your users. If you have too many users as compared to your license, your instance will be placed in read-only mode and nobody will be able to edit content until you apply the appropriate License.
