How can we have sub tasks automatically assigned to the same epic as their parent issue?

Remember that the "Epic Link" field will not work on sub-tasks. Your script will need to create standard issue links.

Hey Seth,

don't know if there is a way without add-ons - If so I would be very interessed in the solution

By using an add-on you could add a custom postfunction with the script runner add-on for cloud
