I just registered with Jira with Firefox and can't seem to access an issue assigned to me.

Hi @Madelene Higgins-Daly ,

Create a jira dashboard and add a gadget - "Assigned to me". This will shows issues assigned to you. You can also create a jira filter with a JQL , assignee=yourjirausername
