How do I add all team members to a Project

Im looking to add all the individuals in a team to a project, but the team name is not found when I try to add an individual. Its making me do it on a person by person basis.

Are the members of the team in a Jira group?  If so, you can the group to the roles/permissions in the project settings.  Otherwise, you have to add them individually.

I dont have the option in People tab to make a group. 

Is this because my org does not have Crowd added? Do we have to use Crowd to make groups?
