Hi Iris - Welcome to the Atlassian Community!
What field are you wanting to Group By? The Filter Results gadget will not do a group by function either. Depending on the field, you would need to use the Issue Statistics gadget.
Hello John, I want to Group By Client name.
Let me try the Issue Statistics gadget and see how it goes! Thanks!

Hi @Iris Nkuna
I'm not sure if the feature that you're looking for is natively available in Jira.
However, if you're open to solutions from the Atlassian Marketplace, I think you'd like the app that my team and I are working on, JXL for Jira.
JXL is a full-fledged spreadsheet/table view for your issues that allows viewing, inline-editing, sorting, and filtering by all your issue fields, much like you’d do in e.g. Excel or Google Sheets. It also comes with a number of advanced features, including support for (configurable) issue hierarchies, issue grouping by any issue field(s), sum-ups, or conditional formatting.
With these, you can build a view like this in just a couple of clicks:
This is really just one of a virtually endless number of possible views - you can also group by any other issue field, configure different sum-up styles, etc. etc. All this just works, so there's no scripting whatsoever required.
Any questions just let me know,
Best,
Hannes
