Good day,
My team done column shows genuinely 'complete' tickets and also 'cancelled' tickets. Thankfully we have a lot more complete than cancelled tickets within our sprints but when I drag tickets to done, the 'cancelled' status appears on top of 'complete' which results in tickets getting cancelled in error and needing to be reopened. Annoying!
Does anyone know of a way to configure columns so statuses appear on top of others when dragging into the column?
Thanks,
Rich
Hi @Rich Gange,
it's alphabetical (as far as I know). Perhaps renaming the cancel status to something else would help.
However I'd strongly recommend to use one status (done) and use the resolution field to set why that issue is "done". That's the best practice at least.

Hi @Rich Gange
Guess need to change the order of the statuses in board->configure->column.
Like Map "Completed" 1st and then "Canceled".
Cheers,

@Rich Gange, it has been awhile since I worked with multiple status columns but I thought that you could drag and drop them within the column in board settings. Is this not the case?

Hi @Jack Brickey - I tried that but seems that moving the order they're displayed within the Configure board > Columns doesn't impact the order they show on the board.

You are correct. I am seeing the same thing. While you can reorder in Board setting > Columns, w/in the board itself they appear in alphabetical order. I attempted to move the status out a column and then back in but not luck. TBH, I'm unsure if it ever worked before or not. I would recommend opening a support request if you want - Atlassian Support. I agree w/ @Krisztian Kovacs as well on using Resolution for Cancelled.
