How do I continue a list without using source editor?

I'm a technical writer and need a way to continue list numbering to avoid this. I don't want to use the source editor or other coding to do this - I need a fast, simple way to do it.

Hi,

   If you are talking about JIRA you can do the following:

# First numbered line
   #* Bullet under counting
   #* More bullets
   # Second numbered line
   !Http://image.link!
   # Third numbered line

   The above will work but you cannot insert blank lines in between them since it will break the counting.
