Some stories have bee created, they are in a backlog for specific epic, but I need to manage them in Sprints

Hello @Walt.Wellwood

Welcome to the community.

Have you reviewed the documentation for the product?

https://support.atlassian.com/jira-software-cloud/docs/lead-agile-projects-with-jira-software-cloud/

You will have to create a Scrum Board before you can create a Sprint. Sprints are created within Scrum Boards.

You can create a Scrum Board for a project that already exists. Are you using a Classic Software Project or a NextGen Software Project?

When you create your Dashboard depends on what you want to display on your Dashboard. If you want to display sprint-related gadgets, the dashboard won't have any data to show if you don't already have sprints created.

Thanks Trudy.
So I've created a Scrum Board, and someone previously added many stories to a Backlog under an Epic, so I have stories available to pull into a Sprint … so now I'd like to create a Sprint within this new scrum board.

Can you help further?

Hi Walt,

I'm going to refer you to the documentation link again. On that page is a section that is titled "Coordinate and monitor work with sprints"
