How do I create a new JIRA or Confluence page in a new tab?

Before the new versions of both JIRA and Confluence (when there was the green Create button on the top of the page) I could middle click (or command click on Mac) on this to create a new page in a new tab.  However after the new version with the + sign in the left navigation bar, you can no longer create a new issue or Confluence page in a new tab as far a I can see.

Is there a way to do this still?  If not why was that functionality removed?  It's really annoying having new issues and pages created in the same tab I'm on, especially when I'm trying to create a number of issues at once or a number of pages nested under a top level one.

Hi Namit,

I believe you can still open a new tab from just about any page in this new Jira interface.   The changes though no longer have that old Issues button in the navigation bar in order to do this.

Instead you can first left click the Search (magnifying glass icon), then you can right click on the "View All Issues" to open that in a new tab if you like.  This will open the new tab to the issue search page.

The same is true if you need to create a new issue in a new tab, just first left click the + sign, then right click on the create new issue link there to open that in a new tab.
