How do I create my own workflow or change the existing (read-only) workflow scheme in my project?

I currently have administrative rights to the project but I can't seem to figure out how to change the existing workflow scheme.

Hi Sadia,

You need to be a Jira administrator to change workflow schemes. Project administrators do not have this ability.

Ah, I see. Am I able to create my own workflow though?

Unfortunately no. Because workflows can be used by any number of projects they are considered a global use item in Jira, and all global tools need to be managed by a Jira administrator. I would recommend working with your Jira admin to create the new workflow and swap it into your project.
