How do I define custom swimlanes for a kanban board?

1. I created JIRA scrum project (for project mgmt.) and want to add/customize the Kanban board, But i could not see the Kanban setting on the page.

2. But for another JIRA project (to raise bug) i can see the Kanban configuration menu entry.

3. What should i do to also configure the JIRA project?

Hi Jay Han,

When you create the Scrum project, by default scrum board will be created. If wish to use Kanban board also, then you will have to create a separate kanban board for that particular project.

@[deleted]In addition  to  what Madhura said, when  you  create this  kanban board you  will  be automaticlally  added as admin and you  can  modify  the board as you want.

Regarding  scrum  project which  you  created,  you  should also  be added as admin  when  the board is created  by  default  and you  should be able  to  modify it as  you  want  and   if you don't see the board is because you  don't have permission  in the project ,  give your self  "browse project  permission"  or add your self to  a role that  has   "browse project permission"

as Jira administrator.  it should be enough.  Permissions in Jira  works in  a different way.
