How do I enable searching for other issues while creating a new issue?

When I am in the issue creator and trying to link to another issue, only my recent history will make a hit. Every time that I search for an issue (in the same project) that is not in my top 50 most recent issue views, no issue will be shown. Is there a setting that I need to enable in order to search ALL issues in a project to be able to link them?

Hi Courtney,

It seems this is hardcoded into Server and Cloud.  There is an open Suggestion stating this was 10 so there must have been an increase to 50, however, the ability to modify this has not.

Please take a look at JRASERVER-47695: As an administrator, when linking issues, I would like to configure the amount of results that are returned when using the "Find JIRA issues" option and if you agree this matches the general issue please vote on it and add your use case to the comments.

Cheers,

Branden

Hey Branden! Thanks for the response! This is helpful however my real issue lies in that I can ONLY see recently viewed issues, not so much in the quantity of issues. If I am trying to link and issue that I have not recently viewed, the search feature will not show any results.
