How do I get Atlassian ID to work for jira.atlassian.com?

I have an Atlassian ID (obviously), but cannot login to jira.atlassian.com. It just throws an error:

Error

An error occurred while attempting to fulfill your request.

Return home »

How can I get this working?

Try clearing your browser cache and see if it works. Is this your first login?

Thanks. That didn't work though. Leaving it alone for a couple of weeks and trying again did the trick.

it was fixed by clearing browser cache.
