How do I grant myself permission to be able to edit filters?

I already have admin access, so am confused why I cannot edit the filter. I am referring to a filter that my colleague created for our sprint planning backlog.

Thanks!

@Jennifer Brody

Your colleague has to share the edit filter permission with you.

Also make sure that you have permission to create/edit filters in global permission.

Hello,

That is right. If you want to edit a filter and you are on Jira Software Server 7.12.0  and higher than you should be added as an editor of the filter.

If your version is lower, then you must be the owner of the filter.

and if you are on Cloud I don't think you can be added as an editor. You can save it into your own list and edit there of course.
