How do I map import fields that are "including children" correctly in Insight?

Muamera Basic August 25, 2021

Hi everyone! :)

Goal: I want to import into my objecttype "Whatever" where I would like to correctly map the fields to my objecttype "Software" and its children "Add-Ons", "Applications" etc.

My steps: So far, I have only mapped the fields to the objecttyce "Software" using "Label = ${Software}" . This is creating objects inside of "Software" after the synchronization. I don't want that.

My Problem: My objecttype "Software" is and should stay empty. In my attribute configuration of "Software", I have selected "Include children" to reference to all objects that are lying in the children objecttypes such as "Add-Ons", "Applications". I want to map my import fields to these children correctly.

Caution: I don't want to import into this inherited structure as described here: https://documentation.mindville.com/insight/latest/import-into-inherited-structure-33467117.html

Could anyone help me here?

Best regards,

Muamera
