How do I record an issue as being "complete" on the Sprint Burndown where the status is not "Done"

We queue up items for release and we move them into "Ready for Release". This is our "Done" state on a sprint by sprint basis. After Release, we take all tickets in the "Ready for Release" state and move them to Done.

The Sprint Burndown does not recognize the Ready for Release as points completed in the sprint.

Also, we have created statuses for Cancelled, Duplicate, which we want to treat as resolved. Is this just a resolution script setting via Admin?

In your board configuration make your you map that status to the right most column. Also ensure that this Status is under Don category and you may also want to ensure that the resolution is updated when moved to this transition.

Yes to your second question, updating the resolution should happen in a workflow post function.  Remember this should be cleared if the issue has a reOpen transition.

Here's a clip from the documentation on the Sprint Burndown it is based on the board and the statuses aligned to the left most and right most columns in the board.

  • The Burndown Chart is based on your board's column mapping. An issue is considered to be 'To Do' when it is in a status that has been mapped to the left-most column of your board. Similarly, an issue is considered to be 'Done' when it is in a status that has been mapped to the right-most column of your board.

Here's the link to the document:
Burn Down Chart Documentation for server if you're on Cloud there's a button there.

I hope this helps
