How do I replace the workflow of a new project?

Antony Shimmin September 8, 2023

I have created a blank JIRA project, and it has loaded a default workflow.

I have created an inactive workflow that I would like to assign to this new project.

When I go into Project Settings > Issue Type > Edit Workflow I cannot impot or change my new workflow.

Any advice?

Hi, @Antony Shimmin

Is it company managed project or team managed project?

Antony Shimmin September 8, 2023

Team based :)

That's the problem. Team managed projects don't see workflows for company managed projects, they are separated (if it can be said so) from main jira entities.

You can edit workflow only from this project settings.

Thank you!

Hello, @Antony Shimmin and welcome to the Community!

You need to add your new workflow to the workflow scheme of the project to make it active and replace old one.

If you're encountering issues in doing so, please let me know.
