Under the epic shown in the screenshot, there are several issues. Why do they not show up on the roadmap?
Hi @Leo Georgiou
In addition to Advanced Roadmaps which @Deepak Rai mentioned, there are other alternatives available on the Atlassian Marketplace that could help. One of them is Structure.Gantt, the Jira roadmap and Gantt chart extension used together with Structure.
Structure lets you build any issue hierarchy you need – including levels above epics – to pull all your Jira work together in one spreadsheet-like view.
Structure.Gantt then lets you visualize this hierarchy in a roadmap format, where you can create and edit dependencies by drag-and-drop, use baselines to track progress, resolve scheduling conflicts in a few clicks, and more.
Used together, they're quite a flexible solution, as you can build the issue overview you need on the left, and view the roadmap on the right.
Both Structure and Structure.Gantt are available for Jira Cloud, and you can try them free for 30 days.
Disclaimer: I'm part of the Structure team, but I hope this helps in case you're open to other approaches.
Best,
Kathryn
The roadmap view in Jira Software only shows issues of the Parent and Standard types. The default Parent issue type in Jira Software is epic, and the default Standard types are story and task.
Subtasks, which are below Standard, and any custom hierarchy levels above Parent created by Jira Software Premium users won’t show on your project roadmap view. To view them on your roadmap and to plan across multiple projects, you’ll need to use Advanced Roadmaps which is included as part of Jira Software Premium and Enterprise subscriptions.
