How do I upload an add-on from my computer?

I just signed up for my trial membership.  I want to upload an add-on from my computer, but apparently I need to be a sysadmin and my account is only registered as an admin.  I'm the only user and only person signed up.  Why am I not a sysadmin?  What am I missing?

You are on Cloud! There you can never be sysadmin (unless you start a career at atlassian).

In order to use your addon you need to have a JIRA Server Installation.

Unless it's a "Connect" add-on, then you have to "enable private listings" in the UPM and you'll be able to use the Connect add-on
