We had an employee leave who was a Jira Org Admin.
When I go under User Management to remove their site access, I see a message stating: "This user is an organization administrator and their privileges cannot be modified."
How can we de-activate this user account?
Can you post a screen shot? I do not see "Administrators" under Settings in the left nav.

From what the Community logic read from your Atlassian account it looks like you are site admin, not org admin yourself. Could this be true?
This could explain why you don't see "Administrators" from settings.
If so, you would need to speak to the former org admin, or, to another org admin active to adjust the settings (remove leaver, insert your account).

I am set up as both Org and Site Admin.
I was able to figure it out...I had to first remove the user from a certain Group and then go back to User Management.
Thanks.

Hey @Rich Harrelson
I'm facing the same issue here. I can't see this "Add Admin" button although I'm an Org Admin. Could you explain those required steps further?
