How do i create swimlanes in my kanban board?

there is no option under project settings, and everything i am reading says to go to board settings. I cannot find anything that shows board settings

Hello,

Are you on Cloud or Server? If you are on Cloud, I guess, you have either a business project or a next-gen projects. Boards in these projects do not have board settings.

Agree w/ Alexey but will add that if you are using the default board that comes when you create a project you can optionally create an 'full featured' kanban board. The only caveat is that if it is a non-SW project you will need to create it using your profile as the "Location". Then you can add an URL link in the sidebar of your project using the "Add item" sidebar link.
