Hi Everyone,
I am new to using Jira in advanced ways and have trawled Google/Forums looking for an answer to this question.
I am trying to create a burn up chart and have a backlog of work that currently is not pointed making this a bit more difficult.
I need to figure out the average points per story from the last 9 sprints (since we started) but am yet to find an easy way to do this apart from going over each sprint report, extracting to excel and running any queries there.
Is there a way to do this inside Jira itself?
Thanks in advance,
Max
Hi Max,
the eazyBI reports can definitely help you do the analysis of such kind.
You might wish to check the demo account of eazyBI and see the dashboard of several reports for the sprint reporting. There are a lot of standard measures in eazyBI designed for different needs of sprint burndown, burn-up reports, velocity charts and Gantt diagrams:

Kindly,
Janis, eazyBI support
Creating metrics based on data across sprints is not something which is provided out of the box in JIRA. I use Arsenale dataplane for this purpose. You can also use eazyBI plugin. These 2 are good reporting plugins.
This might be of much interest to you - http://www.arsenalesystems.com/docs/display/dataplane/Comparing+Metrics+Across+Sprints

Thanks for your response Tarun.
Unfortunately, given the large organisation i am a part of, it is hard to get authorization for JIRA plug ins.
